Oren Kingsley Eveleth 2018

Oren Kingsley Eveleth passed away April 21, 2018. He was born on August 14, 1934 in Lady Smith, Wisconsin to parents Jay and Alma Eveleth. Oren married Betty Anna Hughes on June 7, 1959 in the Winston Mennonite Church in Winston, Oregon. He is survived by his children, Elaine McMullen and Lonnie Vinson of Halsville, Texas, Elizabeth Ross of Albany, Elvina and Mark Branson of Halsey, Steven and Raymond Eveleth of Corvallis; foster son, Roy Branson of Shedd; siblings, Mary Cagle and Ester Harrison of Albany; Jim Eveleth of Lebanon; Clayton Eveleth of Chewelah, Washington; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Oren had 5 generations of family living. Oren was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Jay and Alma; and siblings, Dorothy and Hazel. He lived in Wisconsin, Roseburg, McMinnville, Scio, Albany, Jefferson, Monmouth, Halsey, Corvallis and Harrisburg. Oren worked for 28 years at Smith Seed Service; over 13 years at Walkers Dairy; as well as the McMinnville Mennonite Home and the mill in Winston. A celebration of Oren’s life and anniversary of marriage to Betty will be 2:00pm – 6:00pm, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Halsey Park with a potluck dinner around 4:00pm.
