Obituary for Sallie H. Berkman Sallie Berkman (nee Tarlitz) passed away on April 17, 2018. She was a resident at Menorah Park in Beachwood. Sallie was born on Oct. 8, 1935, in Cleveland, to Sigmund and Sylvia Tarlitz. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1953 and was well known throughout the local jewelry community for her expertise in pearl and bead stringing. Sallie enjoyed music, travel and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children; Julie Moss (Joseph) of Mayfield Heights and Gary Siegel (Shelley) of Plano, Texas; Grandchildren, Shana (Jimmy) Toth, Cari (Craig) Blaustein, Aaron (Josh) Siegel, Landon Siegel and Jordan Siegel; and Great-grandchildren, Brayden Toth, Carson Toth and Lucas Blaustein. Sallie was preceded by her husband of 24 years, Jerry Berkman. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, April 20 at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple, 23737 Fairmount Blvd. in Beachwood. The family will be receiving visitors at the temple from 2:00 – 4:30 PM, immediately following the memorial. Contributions can be made to the All for the Children Fund at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple Early Childhood Center, Menorah Park or a charitable organization of your choice.
