Ronald F. Snyder, 73, formerly of Clyde, for the pass eleven years, a resident of Silver Springs, Florida, died at his home on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Ron was born in Ballville Township, Sandusky County, Ohio on July 31, 1944 to Junior and Leona “Billie” (Pittenger) Snyder. He was a 1961 graduate of York High School. Mr. Snyder had worked at the former Eckrich Co. in Fremont, then after a few years started his own sawmill and ran that until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clyde. On July 25,1964 he married Jean Wise. She survives, as do two daughters, Patricia (Jeffrey) Phillips of McMinnville, Tennessee and Elise (Darrin) Springs of Bellevue. Four grandchildren and three brothers, Jerry (Peggy) Snyder; Dennis (Connie) Snyder and Thomas (Chris) Snyder all of Clyde. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Leigh Ann Snyder in 1991. Ron’s family want to especially thank his caregiver, Tera Young, for the gracious, loving care she provided. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
