Ralph N. Butler of Struthers, formerly of Newark, OH passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 4:56 p.m. in St. Elizabeth’s Youngstown Hospital. He was 88. Ralph was born in Pittsburgh on December 29, 1929, the son of the late John and Jenny Findlay Butler. Mr. Butler obtained certification from DeVry Institute in the radio and electronics field. Following school, Ralph proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 30 years as a civilian employee for the United States Air Force where he worked on the missile guidance systems. Mr. Butler enjoyed studying and reading anything that involved history. He also took an interest in learning about, and participating in, the ebb and flow of the stock market. Ralph will be dearly missed by, Mary Grace (Robert) Aurandt of Poland; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and James Butler; 2 sisters, Grace Stevenson and Mary Jamison.
