Obituary for Delbert W. Fox Jr.
Delbert W. Fox Jr, 87 of Toledo, OH passed away February 16, 2018. Born on June 20, 1930 in Toledo, OH to Delbert W. and Gladys (McVicker) Fox Sr. Delbert was the owner of Fox Home Improvements for 50 years.
Delbert was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and going to his grandson’s basketball games at BGSU. He was an accomplished guitarist of jazz music playing at Murphy’s, Rusty’s, and other local clubs. He also enjoyed lunch at the former Surf Supper Club with many close friends and was known as a great story teller.
Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Fox in 1990 and his brother Dennie Fox. Surviving are his companion for the past 27 years Janie Perry, daughter, Sandy (John) O’Neill, son, Delbert W. (Donna) Fox III, and grandchildren, John (Stacey), Jennifer (Sam), Erin, Sarah, Emily, Natalie, Matthew, April, and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are his extended family, Rachel (Chris) Huss, Keith (Stephanie) Perry, extended grandchildren, Madisyn and Abbigail Huss and Ashley Perry.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Otterbein of Perrysburg and Hospice of Northwest of Ohio. They will receive friends at the Bersticker Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Road on Wednesday February 21, 2018 from 2- 8 p.m. where services will be held at on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
