ZANESVILLE Charles E. Hamilton, 86, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. He was born December 2, 1931 in Ava, Ohio to the late Wilber and Vera McLaughlin Hamilton. Charles served in the United States Navy honorably for four years. He was a former Past Commander for the VFW Post 1058 and also belonged to the American Legion. Charles attended Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked in the street maintenance department for many years. He is survived by a brother Bernard (Judy) Hamilton of Dresden; a sister Maxine (Michael) Erichsen of Etna; and three children. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anita Hamilton; two brothers: Robert and Frankie; and a sister Bonnie. Calling hours will be from 12 to 1PM Monday, April 23 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Services will begin at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Andrew Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery with Full Military honors.
