Charles David Messer 2018

Clyde-Charles David Messer, 73, of Clyde passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on April 2, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Messer and Edith Wyatt Messer; and granddaughter, Wendy Southerland.
Charles is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Messer; daughter, Cathy and James Redmon; sons, Tim and Roberta Messer and Randy Messer; brothers, Bo Messer, George Messer, and Wayne Messer; sisters, Marshall Thomason and Ruby Goodson; 11 grandchildren, Wendy, Jeremy, Jessica, Natasha, Jamie, Kasey, Caleb, Dottie, Joshua, Benjamin, Christina, and Chantzy; 23 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Savannah Grace Hill, Waylon Southerland, and James David Elijah Seeley.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Smoky Mountain Chapel with Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Burial will follow services at Fulbright Cemetery.
