Obituary of Lucille Mayne Lucille E. Mayne, 68, of DeWitt, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born in Syracuse to the late Channing and Eleanor (Marks) Pao in 1949. She worked as a special education teacher in Phoenix Central School District and as a social worker in the Syracuse City School District for over 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the Office for the Aging advisory council. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary A. Mayne. Her family includes daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Chad McLarney of West Hartford, CT, daughter and future son-in-law, Dr. Julia Mayne of Providence, RI, and Dr. John DeMasi of Saratoga Springs, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Carol Pao of Reunion, FL, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Peter Shanahan of Sullivan, ME; one grandson, William, two nieces, Erin and Melissa, one nephew, Matthew and one great nephew, Gabriel. Friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Holy Cross Church, 4112 East Genesee Street, DeWitt. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 20, at Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Boulevard East, DeWitt.
