Obituary of Italo Fantera LITTLE FALLS – Italo A. (Bud) Fantera, 87, formerly of Holland Patent and Little Falls, died Thursday morning, April 5th, 2018. Bud was born in Little Falls on January 5, 1931, the son of Galliano and Elisa (Taverni) Fantera. He graduated from Little Falls High School, then joined the United States Air Force, serving from 1950-1954. He later graduated from Utica College with a degree in physics and worked as an electrical engineer at Griffiss Air Force Base, later Rome Labs, for 40 years. His marriage to Paulette Duane took place on September 2, 1956. Paulette preceded him in death in October 1986. Surviving are Bud’s two daughters, Deborah (John Fontillas) and Sharon (Robert Gable), his son, David, and grandson John Carl Fontillas; his sister, Aurelia DePalma, brother Daniel Fantera, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Rudolph. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning April 7, 2018 at 9:00 AM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Herkimer . Friends and relatives may attend calling hours at the funeral home on Friday April 6th from 5-7 PM. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Karen Scales and her wonderful staff at Home Helpers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Katherine Luther RHC & RC of Clinton , NY or The American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
