Obituary for Frank S. Klimasz Frank S. Klimasz, 65 of Eltingville passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Staten Island University Hospital North in Staten Island, Born Friday, February 27, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anastasia (Wokcicka) Klimasz. Frank, a Train Service Supervisor with the MTA retired only 8 short days ago on April 1, 2018. Thru out his career with the MTA, Frank was known as an affable and knowledgeable Tour guide for the closed City Hall Station,as well as thru other underground landmarks cared for by the MTA, an article can be found here noting his remarks and acknowledgements, www.aiany.org/news/behold-city-hall-station/ . Frank was also a member of the NYC HAZMAT Team. Frank was well known for his stories, and could regale you forever about trains and their history, at home Frank could always be found Sweeping,… the leaves, the debris in the yard, the shrubs and the gutters, whatever it was that needed to be fixed and cleaned up, Frank was on it. A food connoisseur and all around handy man, Frank was will be fondly remembered for being a jokester with a big heart, who would do anything for you. Beloved husband of Catherine (Powell) Klimasz. Loving father of Cristina Klimasz-Spina. Cherished father in law of Anthony Spina. Dear brother of Annie Sullivan, Dorothy Klimasz, and the late Stanley Klimasz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:45 AM on Wednesday at St. Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
