Obituary of Robert Turner Turner, Robert Michael, – of Port Republic. On Monday evening, April 23rd, the world lost a devoted Husband, loving Father & caring Pop Pop. Robert Michael Turner (69) of Port Republic passed unexpectedly in his home town, surrounded by his loved ones. Mike was born in Atlantic City on January 18, 1949 to Edgar and Eleanor Turner. A graduate of Atlantic City High School and Glassboro State University, Mike was a successful business owner and well driller following his start as a shop teacher. Mike was always involved in his community; serving as a Port Republic Councilmember, on the board of the Greater Atlantic Cancer Society and founder of the New Jersey Heat Pump Council. Mike and his wife Sandra, the absolute love of his life, were inseparable through 47 years of marriage. The college sweetheart’s greatest loves were traveling the world, enjoying nature and spending time with their beloved children and grandkids. Mike is survived by his adored wife, Sandra Turner (Ingemi); sister’s Ruth Grentz and Patricia Turner; brother-in-law’s Pat and Joe Ingemi; his three children, Michael Turner and wife Susi; Christina Stevenson (Turner) and husband Eric; and Steven Turner; five grandkids, and countless family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Atlantic Cancer Fund, PO Box 1633, Absecon NJ 08201. A viewing will be held on Friday April 27th at 6 8pm at Saraceno-Lowenstein in Galloway (58 S. NY Road). Services and interment will be held Saturday April 28th at 10am at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Port Republic (118 Main Street), preceded by a viewing at 9am.
