John Danko, Jr., age 74, of Linneus, died Sunday, April 15, 2018, at his home. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Linneus with Pastor Sue Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Linneus. Services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield. Memorials to Linneus First Responders or Linneus United Methodist Church may be left at the church or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628. John Joseph, Jr., son of John and Helen (Student) Danko, was born January 7, 1944, in Derby, Connecticut. On May 23, 1970, he married Mary Ellen Ham who preceded him in death on September 13, 2013. John had worked at Life Care Center in Brookfield and most recently for the City of Linneus until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion both of Linneus. Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Emily Truitt and husband, Tony of Linneus and Iris Anne Ferguson and husband, Tony of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Marc Jungles and Samantha Gibson, Matthew Jungles, and Paige Truitt all of Linneus, Bradley Ferguson and Brett Ferguson of Chillicothe and Colin Ferguson of Trenton; four great-grandchildren, Carter Nickolas Jungles, Mallorie Gibson, Mayscie Crowe, and Piper Marie Vansickle all of Linneus; and two sisters, Jane Botti of Ansonia, Connecticut, and Sandy (Cooky) Parkosewich of Seymour, Connecticut. His parents; two sisters, Shirly Sala and Dorothy Madzik; and son-in-law, Nick Jungles also preceded him in death.
