Obituary for Jeffrey Allen Hood Jeffrey Allen Hood, 44, of Holts Summit, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinic. He was born February 3, 1974, in Jefferson City, a son of David Joseph Hood and Jaci S. (Lawn) Hood. He was united in marriage on March 11, 1995 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph to Kandi R. Nichols, she survives at the home. He was a 1992 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Jeffrey was employed with Summit Woodworking, Foster Custom Cabinetry, Elliot’s Cabinet and Freedom Projects. He enjoyed being outdoors; flint knapping, hunting, camping, and fishing. Jeffrey also was an avid old truck collector and loved antiquing. Most of all he loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Kandi; children: Robert Poe (Shelly) of Jefferson City, Brandi Nichols of Holts Summit, Brittany Nichols (fiancé Kyle O’Rourke) of Holts Summit; mother: Jaci (Lawn) Hood of Holts Summit; father: David Hood (Glenda) of Branson; mother-in-law: Cheryl Scott of Holts Summit; father-in-law Ronald Nichols (Vicki) of Sullivan; brother: Matt Hood (wife Kathy) of Windsor; and his paternal grandmother: Georgia N. (Crider) Hood of Vienna; grandchildren: Hailey Henderson, Brailyn Henderson, Traidyn Henderson, Charlotte Poe, Ayden Bagby, Addison Nichols, Carson Werdehausen as well as many other family members and friends Jeffrey was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Payton Nichols; brother: Christopher Hood; father-in-law: Bob Scott; maternal grandparents: Velma E. and Jack E. Lawn, Vern and Beverly Duncan; paternal grandfather: Robert A. Hood, and uncle: Wesley Lawn. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dusty Klein officiating. Interment will be private for the family.
