Obituary for Jean M. Moffat Jean M. Moffat, 75, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at SSM Health/St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born December 17, 1942, in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Glen G. and Margaret F. (DeLong) Cady. Jean was a 1960 graduate of Helias High School, and went on to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia. On September 8, 1962, Jean was united in marriage to William Allen Moffat, who preceded her in death on May 4, 1997. Jean was co-owner of Big Horn Market in Jefferson City from 1979 – 1991. She also worked at Wal-Mart Store #29 for twenty years in the flower and plant department, and was a Master Gardener. Jean was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers, and making crafts and wreaths. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. Jean is survived by a son: Robert “Mike” Moffat (wife Tabitha) of Russellville; a daughter: Michelle “Mikki” Duncan (husband Wes) of Eugene; a brother: Gary Cady (wife Karen) of Lohman; six grandchildren: Alexa Thompson, Cameron Moffat, Kelsey Duncan, Cody Duncan, Taylor Moffat and Morgan Hite; and one great-grandchild on the way. Jean was also preceded in death by a son: Randy Moffat on October 20, 1966. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
