Obituary of Charles Brand Charles W. Brand Funeral Services for Charles William Brand of St. Louis, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Burial will follow in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Mr. Brand, 84, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 19, 2018 at SSM DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. Born July 27, 1933 in Cuba, MO, he was the son of Charles Washington and Revia Hamilton Brand. Charles served his country in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist from March 13, 1957 until he was honorably discharged on March 12, 1959. He was united in marriage on February 27, 1960 at the Southside Baptist Church in South St. Louis, MO to Evylene Marie Aubuchon. Charles worked as a welder for H&H Machine Repair. He was a member of Teamsters Local #618. A man of many hobbies, Charles enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, table games, working on tractors, painting by numbers, fishing and stock car racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Brand and Revia Brand; and two brothers: John Joseph and James Henry Brand. Survivors include his beloved wife, Evylene Brand; two sisters: Anna May Birkhead of New London, MO and Lucile Kay Sanders and her husband, Bernard “Bruce”, of Arlington, VA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
