Obituary of Blakely Chase Blakely Louis “Cody” Chase, 63, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at his residence in rural Ripley County. Mr. Chase, son of the late David Donald and Candice Bonjour Chase, was born February 10, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa. He had been a truck driver for the entertainment industry. Blake loved his Chris-Craft boat, lovingly nicknamed, “The Classic Lady” and he especially enjoyed being with his family. On April 26, 1999, he was married to Donna Hardgrave in Ripley County, Missouri, and she survives. Also surviving are 8 children: Emily (and Jesse) Nguyen of Portland, Oregon, Lauren (and Kyle) Whitmore of Jackson, Missouri, Dylan (and Samantha) Chase of Edmonton, Kentucky, Dustie (and Robert) Murphy of Glenmora, Louisiana, Marla (and Billy) Hastings of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Michael Boone, Bradley (and Mary) Redus and Melissa (and Lonnie) Lane, all of Doniphan; 3 brothers, Rick (and Tracy) Chase of Solon Iowa, and Mike (and Betsy) Chase and Scott Chase, both of Houston, Texas; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Stairway to Heaven Cemetery in Ripley County.
