Obituary for Robert Howell Lowery Robert Howell Lowery, 63, of Laurel passed away at his residence on April 13, 2018 after a lengthy illness. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Robert worked at Roadway Express for 36 years until he was forced into retirement due to his illness. He loved riding horses and believed in the Trinity. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rutherford Sr and Edith Lowery; siblings, Elmirah Crownover, Jonah Lowery, and Rutherford Lowery Jr.; and a very special aunt, Virginia Cooley. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sydney H. Lowery; sons, Robert Justin Lowery, and Joseph Clayton Lowery; siblings, Ford Lowery, Ruth Middleton, Ann Kennedy, Susie Chisholm, and Cambria Sumrall; mother in law, Patricia K. Harvey; Sister in law, Barbara (Mike) Dutton; Brother in law, Robert H. (Connie) Harvey ; grandchildren, Shelby Ryan Lowery, Robert Christian Lowery, Spencer Austin Burnett, Josie Maddison Lowery; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
