Parker, Elizabeth C. “Betty” (Chick), 92, of Brookline, April 11, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Allan D. Parker for nearly 50 years. Loving mother of Lee Parker Hollister and her husband Buell of Shelburne VT., Allan Parker and his wife Margery of Marshfield, Jim Parker and his wife Kathe of Mattapoisett and George Parker and his wife Virginia of Dedham. Adored grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 10. She was devoted to her family and was kind and generous to not only family but to everyone she met. Born on August 25,1925 in Swampscott, Betty was the daughter of William C Chick and Ruth F Chick. She attended The Winsor School, graduated from Westover School and attended Garland Junior College. Betty also spent time in Mattapoisett, Swampscott and Sea Island, GA. She was a Member of the The Country Club and Colonial Dames and past Member of the Vincent Club, The Kittansett Club, Ocean Forrest Golf Club, Sea Island Club, Eastern Yacht Club and The Chilton Club. She had been active in the YWCA where she served as Treasurer. Betty was a very active person who enjoyed gardening, shooting, golf (she was a member of the United States Senior Women’s Golf Association) and curling (she was a member of the Senior Ladies International Curling Club). A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of The Redeemer, 379 Hammond St, Chestnut Hill on May 19th at 1PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Fessenden School (specify for The Parker Boys’ Scholarship Fund), 250 Waltham St., West Newton, MA 02465
