Obituary for Nancy Benner Nancy Elaine Benner, 71, passed away on April 14, 2018 at her home in Waldoboro, Maine. She was born on May 15, 1946 in Rockland, Maine to William Merrill, Sr. and Doris (Lacombe) Merrill. Nancy grew up on Clark’s Island and attended local schools and graduated from Thomaston High School in 1966. She worked in Rockland at the canning factory and GTE Sylvania. In 1967 she met and married Harold K. Benner and made their home in Waldoboro. After the birth of her son she remained a home maker. She enjoyed painting and ceramics, and her flower gardens. She enjoyed time with her family, especially the holidays and will be missed by all. Nancy is predeceased by her husband Harold K. Benner and sister Judy Sanborn. She is survived by her son Nathan Benner and his wife Cindy of Waldoboro, granddaughter Kassandra Benner of Augusta, brother William Merrill, Jr. and wife Brenda of Brunswick and sister Debra Norwood of Brunswick. Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro, Maine at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Comery Cemetery in Waldoboro.
