CSM (Retired) Leonard A. Gibson, 90, of Radcliff, KY passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY. Leonard was born July 27, 1927 in Barbourville, KY. CSM Gibson was retired from the United States Army. He was an WWII era veteran, a veteran of the Korean War, and the Vietnam War with twenty eight years of service. He was an ordained minister of the Missionary Church International and cofounder of the Gospel Shop Ministries. Survivors include his wife of thirty eight years, Rosemary Speck Gibson; one daughter, Sherry Harper & her husband, Joe, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL; two sons, Steve Gibson & his wife, Marcia, Roger Gibson & his wife, Nancy both of Elizabethtown, KY; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Leora Jackson of Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Friday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Funeral services for Mr. Gibson will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 4, 2018 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with pastor Jerry Bell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
