Wayne D. Jacobsen Sr., age 95, passed away March 30, 2018.
He was born in Meadow Grove, Nebraska on January 7, 1923 to the late Alfred and Ethel (Alix) Jacobsen. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He owned and operated his own heating and air business and was a proud Mason, holding membership in Bluffs City – Lodge 71.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Diane Jacobsen Jr. and Scott and Shari Jacobsen; son-in-law, Jerry Rees (Karen); special companion, Marjorie Palmerton and her family; brother and sister-in-law, Bart and Jan Jacobsen; grandchildren, Jackie Ulmer, Kerri King, Ryan Jacobsen, Elizabeth Rees, Corrie Willard, Lindi Cowan and Elise Clarke; 19 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Masonic service is 5:30p.m. followed by visitation until 8:00p.m. on Friday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Saturday at Saint John Lutheran Church – 633 Willow Ave in Council Bluffs. Inurnment is in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorials are suggested to Saint John Lutheran Church.
