Obituary for Mr. William Young Jr. Mr. William Young, Jr., 77, of Peoria, IL transitioned from this life into the presence of his Heavenly Father at 10:10 am on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his residence. William was born on April 20, 1940 in Indianola, MS to William and Edna (Donelson) Young. He married Billy Jean Page on December 23, 1977 in Peoria, IL sharing 40 years of marriage. William retired as a Machinist at Caterpillar. He loved fishing, cooking and barbequing for his family. William was a seasoned gardener and a handyman. He was a member of New Cornerstone Baptist Church in Peoria, IL. William leaves to cherish his most precious memory his loving wife, Billy Jean Young of Peoria; eight sons, Ernest Young of Bloomington, IL, Bobby Young, Christopher (Kia) Young, Latroy (Katherine) Young, Michael (Toni) Young all of Peoria, William “Wayne” Young of Fort Wayne, IN, Stevie (Ryan) Young of Superior, WI, Devon Young of Columbus, OH; three daughters, Jackie (James) McGary of Greenville, MS, Lisa May of Fort Wayne, IN, Monisha (Marvin) Young-Washington of Peoria; nine sisters, Christie Pollard, LaVern Young, Cora McCullum, Mary (Albert) Chaney, Dorothy (John) Shorty, Edna Mae Young, Betty (Charles) Beard all of Peoria, Evelyn Young of Indianapolis, IN, Marilyn (Terry) Woods of Peoria; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Johnell Smith, four daughters, Brenda Erving, Anjaenette Gordon, Letisha Young and Cynthia Young, one sister, Lillie Bea Faulkner. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at New Cornerstone Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10 am. Rev. Dr. Mark McConnell will officiate.
