John Joseph Banko III went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. As a loving husband, father, grandfather (“G-Dad”), he leaves behind his wife of 38 years Patty (Pearson) Banko, his daughter Brittany Sims (husband Matthew), his son John Banko IV (wife Brooke), two grandchildren, Ethan Sims and Aubrie Banko, his father John Banko Jr., and sister Deborah Banko-Fried. John was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana but moved to Georgia in 1992 to pursue… Read More » his career with Prime Power Services, Inc. where he worked for 25 years. John loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren. He also had a passion for traveling, riding his Harley cross-country, cars, and tennis. He was always excited to share his adventure stories with anyone would listen. John was a longtime member of Roswell Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He had a servant’s heart and a gentle spirit. If you asked John Banko how he was, he would always reply “I am blessed!” Funeral Service will be 2 PM Sunday, April 15 at Roswell Street Baptist Church With Dr. Michael Lewis and Keith Masters officiating.
