Obituary of Bobbie Brooks Mrs. Bobbie Lee Griffitts Freeman Brooks, age 85, of Jackson, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at PruittHealth – Monroe. She was born on Tuesday, February 7, 1933 in McMinnville, Tennessee to the late Herbert Griffitts and the late Hattie Butner Griffitts. Bobbie attended Paran Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting and playing bingo. Bobbie loved to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Freeman, G.W Brooks; son, Dwight Freeman; granddaughter, Crystal Hill. Bobbie is survived by her children and their spouses, Brenda and David Griffith, Dianne Rustin, Herbert and Rosa Freeman, David and Sherry Freeman, Vera and Allen Sosebee; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; sister, Rosalyn Layman; daughter-in-law, Ann Freeman; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Bobbie Brooks will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the Paran Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe County. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
