Norman G. Mitchell, 50, DuBois, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born January 8, 1968, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Jamison) Mitchell. Norman graduated from Jeff Tech in 1985. He enjoyed writing poetry, helping stray animals, and ministering to jail inmates. Norman was active with Lexie Animal Rescue, Inc. He is survived by three children, Derrick Wargo, DuBois, Jon Burns, Sabula, Jordan Burkett, DuBois; a step-daughter, Lacey Burnside,… Read More » DuBois; six siblings, Charles (Toni) Jamison, Brockway, Anthony (Kathy) Modaffare, Brockway, William (Lara) Mitchell, Brockport, Kathy (Raphel) Rodriquez, Allen, Texas, Mary Bailey, Northpoint, Alabama, and Joei (Leon) Hallman, Northpoint, Alabama, as well as several nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, and long-time companion, Susan Burnside. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of Norman’s family. Arrangements are under the direction of Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc.
