Obituary for Melvin Pratt Mr. Melvin George Pratt, age 80 of Piedmont, passed away Friday, April 6th at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:PM Tuesday, April 10th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Hundley officiating; burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1:PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Dillon Silver, Justin Silver, Jamey Tucker, Tyler Stender, Scott Stender, Brian Roebuck. Survivors include his wife, Linda Joyce Buttram Pratt; sons, David Pratt of IN, Lonny (Yvonne) Loyd of Centre; daughters, Cheryl (Todd) Schuck of IL, Janice (Scott) Stender of IL, Patricia Pratt of IL; brother, Ronnie Pratt of IL; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mr. Pratt was a native of Illinois, the son of the late Melvin Howard and Florence Evelyn Jorsky Pratt, he was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and was a Christian. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
