Obituary of Nelda Mosley
Services for Nelda June Mosley, 84 of Liberty City, will be Tuesday, March 27 at 3:00 pm in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Overton City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm prior to the service .
Nelda passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
She was born October 8, 1933 in Desdemona to the late Elsie and Lyman Northcutt and had been a resident of Liberty City for the last 14 years. Mrs. Mosley was a graduate of Leverett’s Chapel High School and married Michael David “Mickey” Mosley in the summer of 1968 in New London. They lived in East Texas for several years before moving to Minden, Louisiana in 1981. The Mosley’s moved back to East Texas at retirement, living in Arp, and then Liberty City.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Mosley is preceded in death by her younger brother, Jerry Glen Northcutt, her stepfather, Dr. Roger Bowles of Overton, and nephew Kerry Northcutt.
Mrs. Mosley is survived by her husband, Micky Mosley of Liberty City; her five children and their spouses, Ricky and Stacy Lewis of McKinney; Cindy Hedrick of Longview; Dennis Hedrick of Longview; Sandy and Dewey McCrary of Liberty City; Randy and Beth Lewis of Kilgore; and Candy Norris of Leverett’s Chapel; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; 11 sisters-in-law; 8 brothers-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
