Obituary of Ronald Topa
Ronald M. Topa, Sr. ,72, of Jessup died Saturday afternoon at Geisinger Medical Center of Danville after a lengthy illness. His wife of 50 years is the former Nadine Gensini.
Born in Scranton, he was a graduate of Jessup High School and was employed as a member of the security staff at the Mid Valley Hospital for many years until his retirement. He was a lifelong Jessup resident and a former member of St. Stanislaus Polish National Cathedral, Scranton.
He was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family and his best friend Chloe, his dog.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lisa Spryn, Jessup and Jennifer Topa, Kingston, three brothers; John Topa, Clark’s Summit, Robert Topa, Peckville, and Joseph Topa, Olyphant, grandchildren; Christopher Rewt, Justin Topa, and Marissa Spryn, a great grandson, Jaxon Rewt, neices, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Topa, Jr.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home with mass at 10:00AM at St. Michael’s Church, Queen of Angels Parish, Jessup. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. For online condolences go to , www.margottafhs.com
