Obituary of Merill Greenberg
Merill A. Greenberg, age 79 of Troy, New York died suddenly on Monday, March 26, 2018 at his residence in Troy. Merill was a lifelong Troy resident and the son of the late Sam and Florence Fuchs Greenberg. He was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College. Merill was the owner of the former Troy Glass Company and a well-known real estate broker and property manager. He was involved in many professional and community organizations. Mr. Greenberg was a member and Past President of Congregation Berith Sholom in Troy and a member of Congregation Beth Emeth and its brotherhood in Albany as well as the Beth Tephilah Synagogue in Troy.
Merill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marion Lee Kintisch Greenberg. Father of Morton (Dana) Greenberg, Sabrina (Dr. Edmond) Chalom and Ely
( Minda) Greenberg. Brother of Mark, Arnold, Edythe and Leona. He also leaves his grandchildren, Carly and Jack Greenberg, Henriette, Rosa, Mayer, Chaim, Elie, Sarah, and Moshe Chalom and Anna Rose Greenberg.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Mendleson Chapel located on the grounds of the Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The period of mourning will be observed at the Greenberg residence, 103 Wendell Avenue in Troy on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm.
