Arthur J Zehnder 2018

Arthur J. Zehnder, 70, of Edison passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Haven Hospice Pavilion at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Arthur was born in Newark to the late Kenneth Sr. and Evelyn Zehnder. He grew up in Union before moving to Edison in 1971. Arthur worked at Carpenter Tech in Union prior to working at Acme Tube in Somerset. Arthur was a Communicant at St. Matthew the Apostle Church in Edison where he attended the 5pm Mass on Saturday nights. He enjoyed going on day trips & vacations, working on cars, repairing all sorts of things, and above all, playing with his grand-daughter, Madison.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marlene; his daughter, Christine Patalano and her husband Vincent of Edison; his son, Joseph of Middletown; his grand-daughter, Madison; his brother, Kenneth Zehnder Jr. and his wife Barbara of Cranford; his sister, Theresa Olsen of Egg Harbor City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:15am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middle Ave. Metuchen, followed by an 11am Mass at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 81 Seymour Ave Edison. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway, NJ
The visitation will be Monday April 2, 2018 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
