Passed away peacefully, Sunday March 25, 2018, at HealthSource Saginaw at the age of 70 years.
James was born April 10, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Lawrence Edgar and Eleanor Ruth (Felten) Leach. James graduated from Bridgeport High School and attended Delta College to become an Electrician. He was a member of Calvary Community Church, Bridgeport, MI. He enjoyed camping, fishing, tubing, cooking and playing cards. Most of all, he loved watching the Lions and Tigers games on TV, but really enjoyed his trips down to see them play in person.
Surviving are two sisters and two brothers and their spouses, Helen “Ruthie” (Dale) Lutge; Janet (William ) Reed; Christian Leach Sr; Earl (Vera) Leach; a sister-in-law, Helen Leach; his special companion, Sharon Near; his special nephew, Christian Leach; many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers and a sister, Lawrence, Carl, Andrew, Harold Leach and Kathy Leach and a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Leach.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. Rev. Ted Doolittle will officiate with burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Kidney Foundation.
