Obituary of Gary Lambertson
Gary Dale Lambertson, 68, passed Tuesday, March 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at his Stockton, MD home. Born on April 9, 1949 in Salisbury, he was one of four sons of Bernard James and Dorothy Novella Watson Lambertson.
Gary graduated from Snow Hill High School and continued the family tradition of farming. Gary later established Lambertson Bobcat Service, working with two sons, Chad and Rodney Lambertson. Gary and his wife Terri also owned Timeless Tavern in Stockton, where many of his friends gathered. Timeless Tavern is managed by Angie Castillo, who has been like another daughter to Gary. Gary was a fun loving, kind and generous man, who was always willing to help others. He loved traveling to many places, with Florida being his favorite. He had a passion for camping and spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed spending the summers with his wife at their “Salty Air Retreat” in Chincoteague Island, VA. Gary created many family traditions, one of them being rabbit and coon hunting with his sons. He had a special love for his sister-in-law, Sharon Blank’s, strawberry Smith Island cake.
Gary is survived by parents, Bernard and Dorothy Lambertson of Stockton; his devoted wife of 43 years, Terri Lambertson; three sons, Gary Lambertson, Jr. of Salisbury, Chad Lambertson and his wife Melissa of Stockton and Rodney Lambertson and his wife Megan of Greenbackville, VA; one daughter, Michele Lambertson of Girdletree; three brothers, Bruce Lambertson and his wife Paula, Rick Lambertson and his wife Linda and Curt Lambertson, all of Stockton, MD; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Trevor, Chase, Mallory, Devin, and Nevaeh and was anxiously awaiting his first great-granddaughter, Victoria; a very special brother-in-law, Rudy Brittingham; four sister-in-laws, Sharon Blank, Bonnie Burkett-Watson, Patty Brittingham and Lisa Somers; and his faithful poodle companion, that was always at his side, “Miss Kitty”.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke, where a visitation will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Rev. Pastor Donnie Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow in Remson United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4249 Sheephouse Road, Pocomoke City, MD.
