Adrian Owen Smith Sr., 78, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 8, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Herman & Mary Smith. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, an Army Veteran, and was in the graduating class of 1957 at Daviess County High School. Adrian was a Minister of Music for various churches with his last being Dawson Baptist Church. He was a member of the Barber Shop Quartet “The Scarlet Garter”. He enjoyed the Indianapolis Colts, crocheting, and was very versed in the Bible. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce A. Smith.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Smith; a son, Owen Smith; two grandchildren, Madeline and J.T. Smith; and his dog, Zeva.
Services are 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is from 10:00-2:00 on Tuesday at the funeral home.
