View Tribute Book Yvette Elizabeth Smith (Shing)was born in York Pa on May 27, 1964, to Paula Doweary (Jones) and Meredith Smith, Sr. Yvette was educated through the York City School System and was a 1982 graduate of William Penn Sr. High School (York High). She was employed by various retail stores for over 20 years, and was an avid shopper, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Thursday afternoon, October 27, 2022, Yvette was carried home on the wings of an angel. In addition to her parents Paula and Meredith; Yvette leaves to mourn her loss but cherish her memories 2 sons Terence Romey, Sr., wife Victoria of York, PA and Bryon Hall, Jr. of Delaware; two daughters Laprecia Hunter of Etters and Ranada Hall of Harrisburg; one brother Meredith Tyrone Smith, Jr. of Texas; four sisters Kimberly Smith (Elroy) of Mount Wolf, Alicia Smith of Chambersburg, Kimberly Overmiller and Lavonia Smith both of York; a stepbrother Christopher Sheffer, wife Cindy of North Myrtle Beach, SC; 5 grandchildren Deshay Hall, Raienn Hall, Terence Romey Jr., Tre’mere Romey and Ta’Ziyah Romey and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ronesha Willis was a very special niece to her. Yvette was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Anna and William Bowens and Richard Jones and her paternal grandparents Albert and Margaret Smith.
