He was born on January 26, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Young Arthur Smith, Senior and Bonnie Inez Smith. He is survived by his wife, June Smith, his son, Young Arthur Smith III, his step-son, James Joseph Fesco, two sisters, Bonnie Karen (Fred) Demichael, Judy Emily (Rodney) Snow, and eight grandchildren, Caleb Fesco, Katherine Elizabeth Smith, Victoria Elanor Smith Nicholas Bednar, Trey Grundy, Hannah Grundy, Rachel Grundy, Sarah Grundy. Young had worked for the Cathedral Foundation. He managed food for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Meals-On-Wheels, a free food pantry, and two family restaurants. Young served in the United States Air Force. His hobbies include, Archaeology, bee-keeping, paranormal research, surfing, fishing and had a lifetime of Martial Arts. A Church Service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 12 noon, at the Weston Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery, in Weston, Georgia. The Reverend Raymond Smith will officiate the service. Baldwin Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
