William Neil Odom, 77, passed away November 8, 2022. A native of Greer, son of the late McNeil and Myrtle Green Odom, he was a retired employee of Shealy Electric after 43 years of service and a member of Riverside Baptist Church where he was a former deacon. He was Worshipful Master of Taylors Masonic Lodge #345 in 1976, 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He loved his family and called them his blessings. He prayed every night for them by name. Most of all he loved God. His grandkids were the love of his life and called him Pop and Poppy. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Brenda Thomas Odom of the home; one son, Bryan Odom (Traci) of Greer; a daughter, Lisa Cox (Jason) of Greer; a sister, Rebecca Blackwell (Dennis) of Lyman; and five grandchildren, Trey Odom (Alexis), Aaron Odom, Connor Odom, Emma Cox, and Riley Cox. Mr. Odom was predeceased by one son, Aaron McNeil Odom. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at Riverside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Chris Jackson and Rev. Nick Ballenger. Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trey Odom, Connor Odom, Aaron Odom, Bryan Odom, Jason Cox, and Mike Ponthieux. Honorary escort will be Greer High School Class of 1963. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
