Graveside service for William G. Shears, 84 of Lincoln, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022 at Forestlawn Gardens. Reverend Milton Harris will officiate. Mr. Shears passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy Shears and Eddie Shears Edwards; his wife, Linda Richard Shears, his children, Aleshia Brock, and Avery Shears; and his brother, Leroy Shears (Delois). Mr. Shears was a native of Anniston and graduated from Walter Wellborn High School. He was an outdoorsman and loved to fish. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Holmes; brother, Jimmy Shears and wife Sharon, grandchildren, Tiffany Brock, Rebecca Smith (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Avery Smith and Wyatt Smith; long time friend, Elizabeth Steinburg; several nieces and nephews.
