View Tribute Book WILLIAM FRANCIS “BILLY” LING III, 44 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of the late Danny Arthur Ling and Linda (Adkins) Ling. He was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was of the Christian faith. He was a loving son, grandson, nephew and was a drill operator for a fiber optic company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Sister: Jolene Ling; Uncles: Donald Ling and Leslie Ling. Those left to cherish his memory include his grandparents, William Francis Ling II and Melda Jean (Akers) Ling of Hurley, VA; Uncles: William Michael Ling (Companion Helen Stiltner) of Vansant, VA, Jimmy Dean (Chris) Ling of Grundy, VA; Aunts: Ava Diane Justus of Grundy, VA, Susan (Barry) Billings of North Wilkesboro, NC. Also, survived by several cousins. Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with song services to follow. Graveside Services for WILLIAM FRANCIS “BILLY” LING III will be conducted Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the Charles-Hurley Cemetery at Hurley, VA, with his uncle Jimmy Dean Ling officiating with burial to follow.
