Obituary Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book William “Billy” Hart, age 75, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022. Family will receive visitors at Smyrna Baptist Church in Deepstep on Tuesday, December 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services will be held following visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Jimmy Harris will be officiating. Burial and a small graveside service will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Hart was born in Washington County on November 26, 1947, to the late Milton Hart and Eula Mae Veal Hart. He was retired from Lapp Insulators. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He served his country and came home to continue serving those less fortunate around him. He was a long-standing member of Smyrna Baptist Church. He was an amazing father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, friend, and selfless man. He did so much for others and did without on so many occasions just because his heart was so big, and his kindness knew no bounds. He truly was a humble man of God that loved his family immensely and always put others before himself. Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his wife Floydann Peeler Hart and a brother Leonard Hart. Survivors include his daughter Amy Hart Anderson of Augusta, a son Michael Hart (Lauren), of Claxton, his sister Millie O’Steen (Melvin) of Milledgeville, a grandchild Noah Alligood, and many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, great nephews, great nieces, and 6 precious grand dogs.
