William A. “Bill” George, age 78, of London, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Phyllis Cornett George; two children, Geannie Gray & husband Tommy, Judy George, all of London, KY; two grandchildren, Corey Wayne Gray & wife Mellissa P. Gray, Casey William Gray & wife Taylor M. Gray; three great grandchildren, Adeline Grace Gray, Riley Hope Gray, Josie Faith Gray; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arza B. George and Martha Ellen Reams George; two siblings, James Harold George, Mary Ellen George; and by one grandchild, an angel baby. Bill was self-employed for 59 years and was owner of Rite Way Services. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Funeral Services for William A. “Bill” George will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Lamon Hubbs and Dennis McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Southard Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11, 2022 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Casey Gray, Corey Gray, Gabe House, Austin Johnson, Matthew Smith, Brian Higgins, Byram Feltner and Steve Centers. Honorary pallbearers are Charles McDaniel, Darrel Hyde and Joe Higgins. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
