Obituary On April 12, 2022 the “McBride Fire” in Ruidoso, NM started very close to the “Clarks” home. Wes and Linda Clark attempted to evacuate and unfortunately the fire moved swiftly. Wes and Linda who mean so much to so many lost their lives. Wesley Ray Clark was born on December 15, 1943 to his parents Raymond and LaVenia Clark in Cottle, Texas. He grew up in Tahoka, Tx before moving to Ruidoso, NM. He was a football standout at Ruidoso High School, a member of a bowling league and a talented electrician. He owned WRC Electric, was a member of the home builders’ association and had wired many of the homes in Ruidoso over the years. Wesley was the most kindhearted and loving person to everyone that crossed his path. His sense of humor was uplifting to all. Linda Gay Grissom was born June 12, 1946 to her parents James Harold and Audrey Lee Grissom in El Paso, TX. Linda grew up in El Paso and graduated from Austin High School. She then attended International Business School. Linda was also a member of The Order of Rainbow for Girls. She met Wesley in Ruidoso and they fell in love and were married on April 15, 1966. She taught ceramic doll making and created many porcelain dolls for competitions. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting. Linda was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a pokeno group. Linda worked in the banking and insurance industry before she retired. Linda never met a stranger as she immediately became their friend. She was full of love, laughter and happiness and will live in our hearts forever. Wes and Linda celebrated 56 years of marriage and loved their family and the entire Ruidoso community. They also were members of the Square Dance Club. Wesley could be found calling the square dance at times. They were members of the Car Club and loved refinishing and restoring older vehicles. Loved to travel. They were a staple in the Ruidoso community and will be greatly missed. Wes and Linda have left an everlasting impression on all that have crossed their path. The families, friends and community are heartbroken. May they rest in peace.
