Obituary Weldon Cecil Beasley, Jr. age 71 of Sevierville, TN passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022. Weldon C. Beasley, Jr. “W.C.” was a patriot and a proud Vietnam Veteran. He had a long career in the textile industry, beginning at Cherokee Textile Mills/Dan River, Sevierville, in 1968. He retired from Barrday, Charlotte N.C., in 2015. He was an avid golfer and enthusiastic Tennessee Volunteers supporter. He was a church worker for many years at Conner Heights Baptist Church and Freedom Baptist Church. He was known for his kind heart and fighting spirit. W.C. was a devoted father, a beloved big brother, uncle, and cousin and a giving friend to many. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephine Beasley, his brother, Dennis Beasley, and his parents, Weldon Sr. and Ellen Beasley. Survivors include his sister, Donna Beasley Spaulding and brother-in-law, Thomas Spaulding, sister-in-law, Debbie Beasley, niece, Jennifer Brock and husband Alan, nephew, Justin Beasley and wife Rachel, cousins, Becky Jenkins and Ann Large, special aunt, Peggy Hall, special uncle, Richard Beasley, close friend, Keith Spencer, other aunts, uncles, and cousins who reside in Tennessee, Virginia and elsewhere. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday, July 12 at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Family and friends will meet 1 PM Wednesday, July 13 at Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens for graveside service and interment. His nephew, Justin Beasley, will officiate.
