Wayne’s Obituary Wayne S. Manthei, age 85, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, in Green Bay. Wayne was born on Route 1 in Cecil, Wisconsin on November 30, 1937, to the late Art and Violet (Born) Manthei. Wayne graduated from Bonduel High School with the class of 1955. On November 16, 1963, Wayne was united in marriage to Janet Anderson at Immanuel Lutheran Church, White Clay Lake where he was also baptized, confirmed, and remained a member. During their 59 years of marriage, Wayne and Janet were inseparable. Wayne farmed all of his life at the dairy farm on Rt. 1. He loved his horse, Blackie and his dog, Scotty. In his younger years, Wayne enjoyed hunting and in his later years, he liked to take rides and go out to eat at Culvers with Janet. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and he loved his family with all his heart. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; children, Allan (Tammy) Manthei, Terry Manthei and Denise (J.R. Schampers) Manthei; grandchildren, Eric Manthei, Justin (Lacey) Manthei, Jered Erdmann, Dylan Manthei and Jessica Manthei; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon (Philip) Bennett. He is further survived by various nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; Art and Violet; a granddaughter, Amber Erdmann; and brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Margaret Born. A funeral service for Wayne will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, White Clay Lake, with Pastor Craig Nehring officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Read More
