Obituary of Walter Patula Age 83, of Shorewood, IL, formerly of Stickney, IL, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Harbor Chase Assisted Living of Plainfield. He was born October 10, 1938 in Cicero, IL the son of the late Walter and Sylvia (nee Zurik) Patula. He retired in 1997 as an accountant with Shurefine Foods and a member of St. Paul the Apsotle Catholic Church. Walter was an avid gardener, loved to travel and was a Chicago Baseball fan. Most importantly, he cherished his family. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary (nee Kolk); three children, James (Colleen) Patula of Bolingbrook, IL, Dave (Michelle) Patula, of Gilbert, AZ, and Paula (David) Stulgo of Gilbert, AZ; four grandchildren, Ryan Patula, Shannon (Jon) Rolland, Randall Patula, and Sam Patula. Preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Connie “Jessie” Patula. Visitation for Walter Patula will be Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Funeral Service will be Monday, January 31, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m..
