Wade was born on January 18, 1968, in Shattuck to parents James and Lucy (Tapia) Bruce. Wade grew up in Shattuck, attending school at Shattuck Public Schools and graduating with the Class of 1986. Following Graduation, Wade attended college for a time at Seward County Community College. Wade had a son by Amy Hicks- Brayden Bruce. Wade further had two sons by Angela Boucher- Gage Marlatt and Braxton Bruce. Wade worked for Ellis County District #3, attaining the role of foreman. He was a member of the Oklahoma Fire Fighters Association and retired after 25 years of volunteer service from the Shattuck Fire Department. At the age of 8, Wade was baptized into the Catholic church and was member throughout his life. Wade enjoyed operating heavy equipment to hunting and fishing, and he loved his friends and family. Wade is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leland and Dolretta Bruce; uncle Roy Lee Bruce; aunt, LaNell Bruce/Osborn; maternal grandparent, Solomon and Eloise Tapia; uncle, Bobby Tapia; and cousin, Lance Riley. Wade is survived by his parents, James and Lucy Bruce; son, Brayden Bruce and wife Tiffany, their children Braylon and Ledger; son Gage Marlatt and wife Sierra, their children Lakyn and Truett; son, Braxton Bruce; special friends, Julie, Jalie, Jarek, and Jordan Fitz; uncle Jack Bruce; cousins, Shannon, Stacey, Maddison, and Landon; other aunts, uncles, many cousins, and a host of family and friends.
