Wellman-Vivian Mae Troyer was born June 29, 1928, in Dalton, Ohio, the daughter of Daniel J. and Lina (Amstutz) Eberly. Vivian was raised in Ohio before moving to Iowa in 1951. On August 23, 1953, Vivian was united in marriage to Wilber Troyer in Dalton, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Vivian was a member of the Wellman Mennonite Church. She was active with the Mennonite Women and volunteered with Hospice of Iowa County and also Mercy of Iowa City. Vivian passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in Mason City at the age of 94 years. Vivian is survived by her daughter, Neva (Dan) VerHelst of Mason City; a son, Gordon Troyer of North English; three grandsons, Perry (Meg) Troyer, Dustin (Jessica) Troyer and Grant (Brittany Brecht) Troyer; 13 great grandchildren; a brother Herb (Dot) Eberly , a brother-in-law Galen Moomaw, a sister-in-law, Ruth Eberly all of Wooster, OH and a sister-in-law Alta Troyer of Kalona, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilber in 1990, a daughter Janice, 3 sisters Mary Hofstetler, Doris Falk, and Evie Moomaw, 2 brothers Carl and Roger Eberly, and one daughter-in-law Deb Troyer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Wellman Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery in Wellman. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at the church. A Memorial fund has been established for Essence of Life Hospice. Messages and tributes may be directed to www.powellfuneralhome.com
