Obituary of Verna Lee Brady Mrs. Verna Cartwright Brady, age 89 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed from this life to her Heavenly home on Friday, August 26, 2022. Mrs. Brady was born on August 9, 1933 in Ysleta, Texas to the late Henry and Frances Pipkin Cartwright. Mrs. Brady is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, James Brady; son, Steve (Sandi) Brady; grandchildren, Jessica (Robby) Crosslin, Stevi Brady, Rush (Kate) Brady, Mia (Jordan) Dean, Kyndal (Corey) Scoggins, and Chelsi Patton; great-grandchildren, Maverick Scales, Rodes Brady, James Scoggins, Winnie Scoggins, and Patton Scoggins. Along with her parents, Mrs. Brady was preceded in death by her son, Stan Brady; brother, Howard Cartwright and sister, Inez Cartwright. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 1st at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville with Reverend Jeff Lake officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with Steve Brady, Butch Cartwright, Jeff Cartwright, Lee Hinton, Rush Brady, and Keith Bilbrey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are retired FBI Agents. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 1st from 11:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
