Tracy’s Obituary Tracy Sue Kagel passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in La Crosse. She was born December 8, 1967, and became part of the family of Donald and Madalyn Kagel as a foster child. After Tracy’s parents passed away, Tracy moved to group homes sponsored by Creative Community Living Services (CCLS). Tracy’s life changed and she now flourished. She participated in La Crosse Area Special Olympics and bowling, basketball, and bocce ball were just a few of the activities she enjoyed. Tracy also became involved with the La Crosse Community Theater group. The Wizard of Oz and The Little Mermaid were just two of the shows she performed in. Tracy was a devoted member of English Lutheran Church in La Crosse and, despite her physical limitations, she volunteered at Gundersen Health System for 35 years. The family would like to thank the employees of CCLS for the thoughtful and wonderful care given to Tracy for many years, and to all the numerous individuals who may have touched Tracy’s life and made it special. Tracy is survived by her brothers, Mark and Terry, both of La Crosse; numerous cousins; and her special friend, Dennis. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20th, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., in La Crosse, with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Becky Goche will officiate. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date. Face masks are recommended for those attending. Memorials may be given to English Lutheran Church, the Coulee Region Humane Society, or CCLS (www.cclswi.org). Read More
