Thomas’ Obituary Thomas E. Martin, 93, of Emmaus, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Lucie Beal (Collins) Martin and they celebrated 69 years of marriage on August 1st. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry E. Martin and Ethel (Raymer) Martin. Thomas graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Hagerstown and attended St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean war. Thomas worked in the Purchasing Department of Mack Trucks, retiring in 1987 after 24 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed bowling, golf and camping. Thomas also played softball with the Mack Team in Hagerstown and started the Mack Softball League in Allentown, and was a member of both St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Emmaus, and the American Legion Post 191. Survivors: Wife; Sons, Tommy, Jeffrey, and John Daniel; Daughters, Susan Daugherty and Mary Dinbokowitz; 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, James E.; Sister, Jane Hartnett. Thomas was predeceased by a brother, John, and a sister, Frances Eves. A dedicated and true family man, Thomas will be forever remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, caring grandfather and great-grandfather.
