Susan M. (Ertel) Wolf, 73, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away on Thursday, October 7th, 2021, at her home. She was the wife of the late Craig H. Wolf. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ertel and Elenore (O’Brien) Ertel. She graduated Reading Central Catholic High School in 1966 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from West Chester University. Susan was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C. where she was very involved in many roles and activities. Sue was very active in her community and always did what she could to care for others. She was the chauffeur, the chef, and the cheerleader for her daughters, their friends, and teams. She loved fiercely and was an extremely loyal and devoted sister, wife, mother, Nana, and friend. Susan is survived by her three daughters, Lauren E. Wolf, Belmar, NJ, Megan K. wife of Robert Kilmurray, Point Pleasant, NJ, and Alison M. Wolf, Exeter; her grandchildren Nolan Wolf, Charlotte Stacherski, Madison Stacherski, and Ryann Kilmurray; her sisters, Sister Elenore Joseph IHM, Bridgeport and Sister Ellen Thomas IHM, Philadelphia; and her sister-in-law, Marjorie Wolf, Reading. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary E. Ertel. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Reading, PA 19606. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 beginning at 10:30 am in St. Catharine of Sienna R.C.C, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary’s Shelter, 615 Kenhorst Blvd, Reading, PA 19611. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
